Australia is the absolute worst place on this planet. They have the worst of everything! Box jellyfish, Great Whites, the most poisonous insects and reptiles on Earth.

They should drive out the entire population and make it the worlds prison. Put ALL convicted criminals in Australia. Just drop them off by boat and let them have at it.

All countries shut their prisons down and send all the criminals there.

Don’t think anyone only stays 5 years in Angola unless you die

They tried that already. Turned out it was a pretty nice place.

You’ve never been to Angola. I’m pretty sure the British did exactly what you’ve proposed.

What if I told you Austrailia was used as the penal colony of the British Empire?

I'd be more afraid of the Aussie government and their tyrannical policies that jellyfish and sharks now.

You ever been there? I lived in a smallish town three hours south of Sydney for five years. I did a bit of travelling all around New South Wales. I never saw a single snake. I never saw a single box jellyfish. I never saw a single shark. There were a handful of spiders, but I never saw a single funnel web (the worst one). In regards to insects and spiders, the only thing I did different there than here is give my shoes a good shake before putting them on and wear some gloves when looking for things in the garage. There was always beautiful beaches, beautiful weather, beautiful birds, and interesting wildlife. Australian Rules rugby is fun to watch. If you prefer being arse-raped for five years in Angola over one month living near a South Pacific beach, then you are one strange fellow.

Their politics are shite and the cost of living, especially in the city, is high though.

I like the short bio on the author in your second link:

quote:

I'm Lindsay! Not too long ago, I found myself on the Corporate American conveyor belt: an ivy league education, followed by massive student loan debt and an investment banking job in NYC. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew this wasn't it - so I decided to hit the reset button and moved Down Under in December 2014 with a working holiday visa and no plan.

8+ years later and I'm now an Australian citizen. I have slowly and intentionally created an incredible life for myself centered around FREEDOM and all the things that bring me joy (namely: beaches, road trips, and coffee).

It's her life, and there is much more to life than the corporate grind, but it should state that, "I wracked up 6 figures of student loan debt, jumped ship so that could travel, go the beach, and drink over-priced lattes. Oh yeah, and left my former country's citizens to pay for it."

So you’re either legally blind or stayed indoors in your bedroom the entire time.
