In the state of Louisiana a few days ago. Has the bill been passed? What is the timeline of it actually being legalized if it does pass?

It passed committee. That doesn't mean shite yet. If it gets passed a very conservative, very pro law and order (aka bribed by the Sheriff/DA association) House, then maybe this will become bigger. Anytime a lawmaker utters the phrase "I back our friends in law enforcement", you should know exactly what he/she is referring to.

He's got 2 brothers that are in law enforcement, one of which is a sheriff. The Sheriff's Association will be backing the Brinks truck to the governor's mansion for the bug to veto.

Even if it passed how long would lawmakers take to figure out how to make money off it? Look at the sports betting. Should have been rolled out the same day as Mississippi but not a chance due to politics.

How weird is it going to look when a bunch of Louisiana conservatives get a bill on legalization of marijuana passed, and then a Democrat governor in Louisiana vetos it. Our politics are unlike any other state
