I saw an ad on TD recently for a Bluetti:

Might be overkill for what you need...

It's a bit much but it's in the ballpark of what I'm looking for.

I'm wondering what brands folks are using. What's reliable.

Anker used to be the standard but they are involved in a lot of lawsuits, the 1000 series for fires and a lot of patent stuff. I own 4 and haven't ever had a problem with them and when not in use hold their charge.

Also take into account the battery life of your laptop starting out and how much it drains on your use, I have a 10 hour laptop that is for video/surfing, my gaming laptop is 2-4 hours.

Guy I work with used his ego lawn equipment battery to work from home during power outage from a hurricane a few years ago. Apparently they make an inverter that works with those big lawnmower batteries.

I use and M18 inverter and swap the batteries as needed.

Bluetti or Jackery

ETA: My Bluetti with a 100w solar panel will run a small TV all day and still be at full charge if the sun is out.

I do a lot of month long camping road trips so I can recharge in my car with inverters, solar power is great when I can use my panels. I travel with two lunch box size PB and 6 hand held sized.

Can’t go wrong with Mophie or Anker really

Anker C1000. Less than $500, we’ll do what you want and also power your refrigerator in a pinch.

Careful with the 1000

It doesn't list the C series though

I have used this one for a while good and reliable, holds the charge when not in use.

Portable Power Station Bank 300W Rated(600W Peak),220Wh Solar Powered Power Bank with 2 AC Outlet 110V Pure Sine Wave, 60000mAh Power Bank Lithium Battery Pack for Home Outdoor Camping Emergency

Amazon

Bought this one and will try it out on my next trip. But seems to drain when not in use.

But the short answer is Jackery and Anker power stations.

If you end up buying something on Amazon just be aware that Prime Day is July 11-14, so I'd wait til' then.

Choose one that features a LifePo4 battery. Aside from that, they all use similar components, so look for the most affordable power station that matches the size you need. I got a Pecron & it works great. Look at Ecoflow too
