According to the attorney drafting a demand letter as we speak,

What exactly is this attorney demanding?

When they decline payment, is this attorney going to file suit?

When you were in the ER, did they do a full neurological work up? If so, were they able to detect any brain activity at all? Godspeed brother.

Here at my Doc’s office it is posted that they cannot refuse treatment if an emergency. Just saying what’s posted.

At the minimum they should have offered to call 911.

For what? Another bill you wouldn't be able to pay?

This thread is brutal.

The system really has put everyone against each other and it is working.

This entire string of events was setin motion by OP. Why did he let his prescription run dry if he has such severe asthma?

I am confident I speak for everyone here for you to go frick yourself. Maybe go get some health insurance first then worry about suing the world you bum

Lack of insurance does not equal the inability to pay.
I simply did not have the instrument to pay the entire amount upfront on my person.
I have a HSA account and ample credit to pay medical bills (fico over 800)
I’m cash low due to a recent huge funeral bill plus Christmas expenses.
My hands are calloused motherfricker, I work every single day.

You don’t know me nor my financial circumstances but you feel entitled to tell me to go frick myself?

I’ll be hydrating the liver at Le Bon Temps Roule first week of Mardi Gras.

I invite you or anyone else over for a drink.

Or a few rounds in the parking lot if you’re feeling froggy.

I might be punch drunk but I’m willing to wager I’m tougher than you sissy boy.

Why don’t you currently have medical insurance? How long have you been without coverage? You really need to get medical insurance ASAP

You'd probably get winded after the first swing. Then, you'd sue the baw that curb stomps you.

I am self employed and until recently had a high deductible catastrophic plan with a HSA account I contributed to monthly.

16k funeral expenses at the end of the year sacked my cash and I had to cut some expenses until I recoup.

Seems like you should bypass Mardi Gras this year and save your money. Oldmanbeasley does respect your willingness to fight anyone despite both your mental and physical handicaps.

Your reaction to the reactions in this thread are completely unfounded. YOU weren’t properly prepared for this situation, YOU made the choice to go to a business without means to pay everything needed to be rendered services. YOU don’t have insurance.

YOU want to sue someone else for a situation that was entirely YOUR fault, yet you’re mad at everyone else here.

I’m sorry to say it man because I deal with the same medical shite you’re talking about in this thread, but you’re completely in the wrong here. It’s an unfortunate situation, hopefully you’ve learned something for the future
