Cool. The hues are really good.
1982 is when copper was replaced with zinc. Pennies before 1982 are worth over a nickel in scrap each.

Bonus points for who can tell me the minimum age of the pennies in the jar.
Your Mom tasted like a wet mess of 1981 Lincoln Pennies.
Impressive work on the art, Art.

I use steel wool and vinegar to "age" some of the wood I use for guitars.

If only you lived near a volcanic hot spot: Vesuvius was behind a lot of the pigments used by the masters in Italian Painting.
Alizarin Red is the color of red cabbage FWIW. Van Gogh painted pink roses with a red pigment his brother sent him from Paris; that pigment was made from flower petals (maybe begonias) and it has faded through time. The pink was gone decades ago.
A lot of the potters' glazes become different colors as they are heated in Kilns, you might want to play with heat and then do water colors. (Azurite and malachite minerals could be a starter)

Wow, ever try dying clothing? You'd be set up nicely in the medieval days.

I get into some niche hobbies, but damn.

Wow, impressive! Well done.
NO idea on age of pennies. Going with 50yo?

Misnomer, you are very talented (or a sorceress). Well done!

That's pretty cool!
Find some black walnut hulls (not shells, but the green, outside part), it may be a little late for it now, and they give a good really dark brown, almost black color. I have a tree, so I usually cut the hulls off after they fall when they are still green. put them in a bucket, add water, and wait. I've never concentrated it down to ink, but I have used it as a dye.
Avocados, of all things, will give you a pinkish-red color.

Should try this out to dye clothes. Would be a cool booth to do at a local Renaissance Fest.

Very cool. Someone turned me on to the vinegar and steel wool dye technique and I might use it for a guitar stain.
