I have an incontinent dog

12yo lab that sh!ts in the house about 3 times per week.
It’s not even that he sh!ts, it’s that he sh!ts on the run and ends up shitting in 5-20 different spots on his way to the door, and it’s usually slimy foul-smelling goop.
What are my options?
Will a vet euthanize a dog due to incontinence?
Should I just shoot him myself?

Pee pads are pretty cheap. Also you could try putting him on a schedule. Go outside every hour or two to get ahead of it.

Also had a 12 year old dog that had similar problems, switched him to a prescription low residue food and it resolved it. Expensive but worth it.

My dog started doing this recently, just turned 12 too. Thinking about inventing a dog diaper.

He’s outside most of the day.

Take him to the vet. I had to put down my oldest on December 14th and that was one of his issues. He was diabetic with liver and kidney failure.
