I searched for 20 seconds and couldn't find a gif of Bruce Willis getting the fly in the whole nine yards. Here to declare failure.

This makes me laugh because I too am impressed with my kill rate barehanded in the house

I just always assumed they were slower inside or that pest treatments had them already on the way out or something.

You must have a lot of flying to be able to catch 60% with your hand. Im picturing a living room with so many flies that if you grab in the air you can't help but to catch one.

If you go double handed, sneaking up on them with a hand on each side, and go straight up, cupping your hands, you can catch and kill them at the same time without smashing them. The pressure alone kills them.

Practice and add it to your list of talents.

I had a few recently that claping above them couldn't get. They'd fly away laterally. I just had to smack them with a bare hand. "Keep the camera moving cuz I'm kinda fast."
