I'm not sold on this first round but something could sneak out of the monsoon trough. Conditions don't look overly favorable but it would be a week to ten days before anything would reach the Caribbean. NHC is pretty high on 92L getting a name but I don't think that wave will be what could eventually sneak westward.

I agree with you there. Been looking like the environment improves mid month vs now. Caribbean finally warmed up some and the trend over the past seven days has been some east end of the MDR warming, though still cooler than normal.

The meat is the getting into where climo starts picking up again.
