And the experts said it would be another above average season.

I wonder what the climate change alarmists will say when it’s a slow year

The point of this post is what?

He knows that this Texas depression is minimal…..

I think this may be a swerve….there may be something down the line…

What were the predictions this year? With all the climate change I thought we would have more and more every year.

Let's say you are learning how to predict anomalies using a data set. That data set stays very consistent over a long time, and your models start to work very well based on that data set.

Then, suddenly, the data no longer looks the same. How do you think your models will work?

Rhetorical, of course. You've never built a model, you don't know how to write an algorithm, you don't even know what I would mean if I used the term "shape of the data," what a nested object is, and probably don't even know without searching what I would mean by a three dimensional array.

Yes, I'm calling you stupid.

Honestly what's crappy about it is that all the models show the rain staying pretty much offshore the whole time. And Texas needs a shite ton of rain.

yup. All of Texas needs significant rainfall and this thing won’t amount to more than afternoon showers for most

Dive will probably be ok but the ride out is gonna suck if they even take the risk of going out.

What happens with the windmills if a high wind storm passes. Does it spin faster and generate more power or do they spin up to a certain speed regardless of wind speed?

Call me stupid, but when I see weather models failing on a regular basis, and then I listen to politicians and govt. officials making policy based on models, I ask questions.

And no I couldn’t build a model if you paid me a million bucks,

Seems odd to label it Invest with only 10% chance of development. I guess the mets are getting anxious

They’ll start giving a name to every glorified thunderstorm so they can claim they were right on the season projections
