If it holds up it may but it is already showing signs of weakening. May be cycling, but these storms often weaken a bit as they come over land from the gulf.

Time to begin the South Louisiana Morning Commute. Where floodwaters don’t mean you can’t swim to the office

“Maybe a few showers and thundershowers here and there for a few folks today”
- Pat Shingleton

“Some light rain mixed with sun this morning with only light rainfall accumulations”
- Josh Eachus

“It’s nasty out there, folks. Better bring your umbrella to keep the rain off your makeup and hair”
- Dianne Deaton

“WHY HASN’T PRESIDENT TRUMP DECLARED A DISASTER FOR SOUTH LOUISIANA YET!?! IT’S SOOOO BAD DOWN THERE!!!”
- TWC

“Some pockets of very heavy rainfall with some locations receiving as much as 6”, 7” of rainfall but overall most of you can expect 2”-3” of rain today. Good news is it looks like it’ll be out of here by the afternoon commute”
-Jay Grimes and Steve Caparotta

Going to get very difficult in Pierre Part, Belle River, Stephensville and Morgan City by Friday evening and Saturday. Water is already at a record high. This won’t drain out fast down there with the barge in place.
