Just saw a baw in the store with three cases of water and two cases of beer in his buggy Lots of folks had huge packs of toilet paper. I guess they are scared the hurricane is going to bring on the uncontrollable shits like they all thought COVID was going to do. How long till the gas stations are out of gas?! Can’t wait!

Just got back from lunch, the lines at the gas stations are already ridiculous. Saw a guy filling up a 5 gal bucket already.

I was without water for 3 weeks following Laura. I see no problem with this.

I tanked up this morning, as usually on a Monday and the price was $2.65/gal. Interested to see what the same location has this afternoon.

They're buying it to barter for crawfish later.

If people would just plan ahead and have those items stored already, they would have nothing worry about.

Morons.

I filled up at lunch and there were no lines and maybe half of the pumps in use.

The 3 waters to 2 beer ratio is definitely wrong.

If you still panic buy and don’t stock up long term at baseline, you’ve learned nothing.

We get that here in OKC for any prediction of snow. Its end of days shite. Do not get in the way of panic buyers.

I always felt local news weathermen were getting a cut of the extra grocery store panic run profit. The bigger they play it up in advance the bigger their commission.

Thanks to this site, I was able to get 15 gallons of non ethanol gas yesterday, no wait, and plenty available. My generator was serviced a month ago. Started it just to make sure.

If not for this site, I wouldn’t have really thought about it.

I just saw the same thing at my local Walmart. I live in Zachary. We'll be fine. People are nuts.

I really do not understand that mindset.

The grocery stores are not gonna be down for weeks at a time. They might be down 1 day.

There has yet to be a situation where it was impossible to get gas. Might have had to drive 30 minutes, but everyone is gonna be able to get fuel.

People go fricking stupid

Speaking from experience, as we were without power from Beryl for a little over two days...that's not nearly enough.

This guy is grossly underestimating his beer needs.

Filled tank in truck last night. Refilled it this morning while filling cans.

Will refill it again tomorrow when I leave work.

Why?

Because if the generator craps out, and then the backup inverters crap out, I'll be watching movies in the truck with the AC going.

And yes, I have had that level of bad luck previously.

I have enough bourbon to drink half a bottle a day for the next 6 months, so Im good there.

Oh that's going to go flat unless he has a tight lid on it.

Two months ago a tornado rolled through my area and blocked the roads into town for a few days. I live at the end of nine miles of two lane.
