The met sees the NHC issue advisories with juiced up wind speeds and they think wow this thing must have 140 mph winds in the eye wall… time for an extreme wind warning. Not able to use some nutsack and see that the storm has been decaying.

Spot on.

Sprinklers were on behind the last Weather Channel twit.

Hey California, we have so much water we water the grass during a hurricane.

Everyone want's plausible deniability today. You can't blame them with the amount of attorneys out there scavenging for scraps.

Rocking good here, but power and Internet keeps going off and on. Same with cell service. Have no idea where the storm is or where it’s headed at this point. Could use an update on Location.

They’re definitely starting to abuse and overuse extreme wind warnings like anything else in their warning arsenal. When they came out with them they were supposed to be used in extreme cases, such a Michael or Ian. But now they basically slap one on there any time some broke dick hurricane is making landfall.

Idalia and Helene got extreme wind warnings. Clearwater gusting to 50 mph… extreme wind warning.

It goes back to them running with the higher winds that you mentioned earlier. They can't in good faith go with the higher winds and not issue the extreme wind warning. They're going to have to go back to the drawing board and change some shite up. Which means we should see changes in 7-10 years.

The eye is just off of Sarasota. Should come on shore somewhere in the area from Sarasota to Venice.
