Yeah, kind of a fear mongering map there.

I'll say this much, it wouldn't be surprising as big picture things get more friendly for hurricanes starting next week. Our future 96L could well get there. It would also be the "I" storm, which hasn't been friendly recently.

It's the GFS but the 12z run keeps 95L weak and then sends down a cold front to keep 94/96L out of the Gulf

Can we make a separate thread to keep us updated on this cold front? That's one that I would be very interested in hearing more about.

We've got a lot of resolve on the Pacific side of things. GFS is probably going to be all over the place in the long range for a little bit.

Wait. What kind of cold front are we talking about? "pleasant and comfortable" or "93 degrees instead of 97"?

What's shown is the real deal. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s is what it shows. Way too far out to believe in but nice to see signs of fall showing up in the long range nonetheless.

It wouldn’t happen to show lows of 49 degrees or below before October 31st, would it?

I saw an early prediction for winter Louisiana might be seeing a polar vortex winter much colder than normal. similar to the one a few years ago where we got snow and then a month later close to more snow with ice.

Im predicting it'll make it through because the Euro shows the trough also but it'll be low to mid 80s as highs and low to mid 60s as the low
