so if you were a serial killer who would you target?

To actually reach SK status, you could probably murder prostitutes or runaways without drawing too much attention.

That's exactly what Samuel Little did. He killed women in 19 states over decades.

ETA and Gary Ridgeway AKA the Green River Killer. They are also the two most prolific serial killers in America that we know of.

If I remember correctly, they didn’t think he was the killer because he was black and didn’t fit the normal SK profile.

I don't recall that part of it. It may be true but he was arrested multiple times over decades but was never linked to the murders until his DNA was linked in 2012 to a murder all the way from 1987 and that's when the rest of the murders started coming to light. He also confessed to a ton more though not all of them have been verified. He was up to like 60 confirmed and 90+ suspected.

I thought I heard them say 31. I’m so pissed off that they canceled that series. It was spectacular. Best acting I’ve seen in a long time. You really grow to love the characters…

They call them the “less dead”.

Itinerants, drifters, junkies, prostitutes. People who few miss and often move without warning so no one really cares.

It’s like lions preying on the ones on the outside of the herd.

One of the theories I've heard was lead paint led to people losing their minds during this time frame.

Another interesting angle is many serial killers suffered serious head trama as a child.

Growing up I always wanted to be a serial killer, but then technology happened.

both solid

My wife’s family in California think it’s weird I have never owned a helmet in my life other than a football helmet I was forced to wear to be on the field, not for a bike, not for atv, not for dirbike… concussions were part of growing up

I think it's just an advance in investigative techniques and technology. A lot of potential serial killers are caught now well before they have a chance to reach the status of the ones from the 60s and 70s

I am a true crime junkie. Podcast, youtube, Dateline...you name it and I watch it. There are a ton of people police have caught after one or two kills that fit the profile of potentially being a serial killer. Had it not been for modern investigative techniques technology many of them would have certainly carried on.

Mental health is certainly not any better now than it was 50 to 60 years ago. You can look at the crazy shite we have daily with pedos, trannies, etc to attest to that.

On a side note, and speaking of killers, I watched the confession of Fidel Lopez the other day. If you don't know about him he ripped his GFs intestines out through her vagina because she screamed out her ex-husband's name during sex. Probably one of the most horrific crimes I have heard of.
