How many persons on here can change out their AC Capacitor?

i think next time it goes out, i'm going to be brave enough to do it myself.

now's the time to order your capacitor replacement to keep on hand.

When it comes to electrical, except for breakers and real basic wiring shift I stay clear, and when it comes to something as critical as my A/C in South Louisiana, I leave that to the professionals. I don’t care what it costs.

You can’t disconnect and re-connect four spade connectors?

Very simple. You should always have a spare capacitor and and a spare switch. Both can be had for about $20. Two of the most common problems that you can DIY and save $$.

I have mine maintained yearly by a good friend of mine. It usually costs me a couple of beers

Pretty easy and quick to do, and you can save a ton of money doing it yourself.

A million YouTube videos out there explaining the process.

It is like changing a battery in a kids toy, instead of just snapping of the cover it is screwed on... If you don't touch the posts at the same time, no zappy zappy.

If you piss on it first, the salinity in your urine will de-energize the capacitor.
