That's why I gag every time these rich guys suits in our corporate meetings just casually throw out "we're going to pass the inflation cost down to consumers"--this is one of the big negatives to capitalism. These companies cant stand to see any type of profit loss for a quarter and will jack prices up at a moment's notice.

I work at a paper mill and from time to time, our paper machine is down and we have to get rolls shipped from Arkansas. Recently we were down and we didn’t get rolls shipped. When I asked why, they said the cost of diesel to ship 6 parent rolls at a time was now cost prohibitive.

It is. Extremely easy.
Without ID's, just do away with voter registration.

Why should businesses shoulder the negative effects of poor government policy?
And whether we like it or not, we have mounds of data that show very clearly that inflation will most negatively affect the end consumer.
So, and I’m just spitballing here, maybe we stop supporting poor economic policies that cause inflation?

This is such a frustrating issue and many don't seem to understand the trickle down effect of an economy like this. We use several "luxury" services, and having cleaning ladies twice per month is one of them. It's an extra expense we don't need, as we're perfectly capable of cleaning our home. But, these ladies are wonderful and do an amazing job.
I struggle with the idea of tightening our purse strings because I realize how much it will directly affect them. At the end of the day, we need to make sure our children are cared for, we have food on our table, and we can keep the lights on, but I will consciously cut back in other areas to keep them employed.
I am sure many of my customers are going through this right now. Thank you.

Hey dumbass, did you realize that corporations have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders to maximize the return on their investment? As a matter of fact, that’s their only real duty.

At the beginning of Delta I went to the grocery store and saw an old couple with about 6 items. Mostly generic. They were obviously retired and on a tight budget apparently. Anyway, we were stuck behind a messican and a queen . Both had fully loaded carts. I give the illegals props though - they at least had generics in their buggy.
This country is so fricked.
My Mom is on social security and was turned down for disaster food stamps after IDA because she "makes" too much money.

It's very easy. And you need to be a citizen and show and ID. Takes all of 30 seconds.

except the actual mail in ballot application clearly states the 2 ID's that are accepted
And if you registered with your SS but submit your ballot with your DL, you're ballot isn't counted unless you rectify it. If someone turns 18 and doesn't have a license, they'd use SS to register. But now, 25 years later, they have a TX DL. So they put the DL on the ballot and, shockingly, it isn't counted because it's not the same ID used to register.
I literally posted an article above with elections officials talking about this exact scenario.

Inflation is the straw that broke the camel's back. This shows how fragile our situation has been

For the House, yes
And unelected Senators
And an Electoral College that was designed for the House to choose the President most of the time

I have no issue with voter ID. I have to show my license in GA and don't think twice about it.
People aren't raising hell about these laws popping up because they require voter ID. I mean, some are bitching about that, but it's moreso the way they introduce confusion into the process.
Per whoever posted the article above from one of the TX news stations, they typically discard 1-3% of mail in ballots. The other 97-99% have been audited and there's been extremely limited fraud. Suddenly, with these new rules in place, the number disqualified jumped like 500%! That, of course, isn't to say there are 500% more fraudulent voters, just that they're flagging 500% because of these convoluted requirements.

providing ID secures your vote to actually be yours
