Since the media never reports on any problems with Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. in the United States
The media has always hated Christians.
Yet they Islam which gladly kill innocent people and behead your new born baby right in front of you.
They also hate homos which should really scare people in the media since many of them are.
Don't pay attension to regular media.

Perhaps the media only wants to report religious on scandals that involve christians.

There are regular killings in the name of Islam

mainly because Christianity his the biggest kid on the block by far.
the other have it, just don't hear a lot about it because so few probably care.

Catholics and protestants together are probably 50 times the size of any other single religion in the US and probably 10 times the size of all the others put together. This goes a long way to answering your question without getting into minutia.

There's been plenty of poor PR regarding muslims.
The other dominant religion is totally off limits to criticism.

Disclaimer. Just a general observation. I’m not a catholic and have not had to deal with this.

the media and mainstream news is hesitant to report on it from non-Christian religions for fear of being labeled as anti-whatever
Bingo!

I assume they never have any scandals. Right?
What is it like going through life with such a lack of awareness in the world around you? Especially when a 2 minute Google search would have answered this for you.

Every religion is a scandal, not just has scandals.
It’s all bullshite. One day people are going to put Jesus on the mythology shelf with Zeus and Poseidon. It’s inevitable.

Could it be that maybe other religions have no moral tenets to uphold and are therefore more closely related to humanism or hedonism?
Only Judaism, Christianity, and Islaam hold to a single omnipresent entity. The others either have multiple gods, or no entity at all. Of the aforementioned three religions, only Christianity teaches a path for corrupted man to be redeemed to that single God.

Well, mainly because those other religions don't really have anything that qualifies as "scandalous".
Other religions are generally fine with killing gays, stoning females, and diddling children.
Christianity has the "scandals" because, on the whole, the religion looks down on these things, thus, it is a scandal if it happens.
For instance: If the Dallas convention of Baptists threw a gay off a roof, it would be a "scandal" in the church. It would be on the news non-stop. We would have riots and marches and see it on the news non-stop for months. Rightfully so.
A Muslim doing it in Baghdad.... it doesn't even make the news.
Secondly, most countries where the non-Christian religions are prominent, those Religions play a major role in what is disseminated to the public. The news is beholden to the Religion.
News outlets here in America are largely the opposite. They actually seem to relish pointing out issues with Christians and conservatives in general.
Won't be popular, but it's true.
