At the start of the year I had a pretty basic 11pm-7am sleep schedule. In March I started a job where my shifts are usually 3-11pm or 4-12pm

I would come home late and then watch TV for like an hour then go to bed at 1:30 am. Every week I’d get less and less tired and go to bed later and later. Now I can stay up until 6am without feeling tired. I sleep from like 5am to 11am most days

In a few weeks I will have to quit my job and get back to a regular person’s sleep schedule. I’ve been trying to shift myself back but I literally am not capable of going to bed before 4:30am nowadays. I need to fix this soon or I’m fricked.

Nick at Night

Either watch it or don’t watch it.

You’re welcomed.

Don't drink caffeine, watch TV or use your phone at bedtime.

This is how I got into this mess but now my body is conditioned to operate from noon to 5am

The only suggestion I have that doesn't involve narcotics is basically how you beat jet lag: you make yourself stay up.

So, pick a day you can be useless. Instead of going to sleep at 6am, just go start your day. Take a shower, go for a walk/run, drink a cup of coffee. Just make sure you keep moving until you hit a somewhat reasonable hour (I would say 8pm or so) and then go pass out.

It's not fun, but it's the quickest way I know of to do it.

To reset you have to have a good sleep routine. Don’t nap during the day. Go to bed at the same time. If you can’t sleep, get up for a little bit then go back to bed while waking up at the time you’ve set. Eventually your cycle will shift.

This is pretty much the way it is done on military deployments, stay away from naps and on the first day stay up until it will the your normal bedtime at your deployed location. Usually took me less than a week to sleep all night. Also get the best ear plugs you can and use a sound machine.

Masturbate before leaving work, relax but be careful on the drive home, go right to bed.

Yup, take a nap the first day and you're fricking done for at least a week. I burned up a few days in the south of France that way about 15 years ago

I always had the same sleep problem throughout college when I'd go home in the Summer.
