Very little.

I realize the repercussions of California losing water.... I can deal with it.

went 2 weeks ago....they are way down....was sad to see.....by the time we drove off...i gave zero fricks.

honestly i dont care that much. they will figure out how to fix the issues or people will move to new areas, just like they have for thousands of years.

Same here but our safety guy brought it up in the meeting this morning and we were all like "frick those people they don't give a shite about us!"

He wasn't too happy about that.

0.

my concern is consumed by a couple of things:

inflation - those greedy corporations are taking advantage of Americans when they decided simultaneously to start jacking up their prices last year.

gas prices - again, greedy O&G companies. Taking in record profits, this year, and not paying their fair share of taxes. While intentionally not producing enough of their product.

dangerous guns - "we must do something". no one needs an automatic rifle with a 300 round clip. Deer don't wear kevlar and you would need jets and tanks to take on the US Military.

January 6th - let us not forget, our democracy was almost ended when those insane coon skin cap wearing, far right wing extremists, waving their American flags strolled into the Capitol building and held up the certification of the 2020 election for a whole 2 hours!

If California were really concerned... They wouldn't be vetoing desalination plants. So my concern is less than the people directly impacted

A bigger threat is the movement of the "Dry Line" in the US that separates the humid East from the Arid West. It looks to have shifted 140 miles to the East since 1980.

This is why we are facing tornadoes and stronger storms in the Southeast. And how the weather has changed since many of us 40+ year olds were kids.

If it keeps trending East, Iowa and many other staple growing farmlands may be in for a rough time.

Meh. I'm not exactly rooting against them but they are the ones who chose to live in a desert, not me

You need to take a week off from watching CNN and see what's really going on in the world.

Why don't we invest in fresh water pipelines from our delta to the arid areas? We can push oil through the continent, why not filtered water? Oh, that's right, we are more concerned giving extra rights to "women" with dicks, and eating insects than solving actual issues.

We went from no manned flying vehicles in 1903 to building crafts that left the planet in <60 years... we can do anything with an actual resolve to solve it. That may include conservation, but I don't see anything else proposed, just threats.

I'm not worried but more fascinated. They're barreling on a collision course with disaster.

It’s a serious problem for the entire country. California is a major agricultural producer for us and Lake Mead makes a lot of it happen. Not to mention the millions of people that depend on it for drinking water.

It has been horribly mismanaged and this drought is the worst in a thousand years.
