Lots of poors, but all the US airlines are all trash and they’re fine for domestic travel.

I will say on a longer flight, the seats suck an entire large bag of dicks, and that's comparing them to the fact that delta/Southwest, etc. plane seats suck quite a few dicks themselves. I can deal with small bags, hoodrats, shitty service and no drinks, but I'd suggest shorter flights only if only due to discomfort.

I flew it twice, once to DC and once to Fort Lauderdale. I lived to tell about it. The seats weren’t that comfortable, but it worked.

Flew them to Mia and back this past feb. wasn’t bad at all. About to fly with them to Cancun in a couple weeks. It’s a way to get from point a to b and we are only bringing beach clothes so both packing in one bag. Now if had kids I’d choose another airline.

I flew Nola to vegas with no issues. You end up paying the same as southwest and other airlines after baggage fees though

LOL don’t do it…. I’m usually not one to throw my nose up at some trashy shite, hell usually I fit right in….. but

I fly Southwest nearly exclusively for personal travel when they have flights to my destination so I’m no travel snob by any means.

Earlier this year work sent me to a conference and booked me on Spirit… was a shite show…. I emailed HR letting them know from here on out I’ll book my own travel and expense it.

Both of my flights felt like I was visiting AL Davis Park on Super Sunday. I had some ghetto person sitting in my assigned seat that just told me ‘yeah just go sit ova there in that open seat’ … flight attendant not giving two shits while I’m there trying to explain to the person that the other seat is someone else’s assigned seat

My flight was a hour and 40 minutes. I brought my own water, put my small bag under the seat in front of me, and printed boarding pass at home. This was about 4 years ago. No connections to make and weather was good. You can stand just about anything for that period of time. Not horrible. 75.00 roundtrip to FLL from MSY

Been there, done this exact route.

You should have told them you have spent a lot of time in the slammer. It would established rapport between you two

Flew then to Vegas a couple years ago. Cheap and easy as long as you know all the potential charges for services. I’d prefer to not pay for those and have a cheaper flight. Worked well for me.

Flew Spirit for the first time back in May on the way back from Cancun. Never fricking again. Mainly because of the people that their low prices attract made it a miserable experience. Plus the flight was delayed because they couldn’t get the PA system to work, barely made our layover

It really depends on where you are going and how many flights they have scheduled there. In some cases, if you have a problem with your plane it can be really difficult to get to where you are going via another flight / route.

That said, I have flown a couple times when it made sense and had no problems. Obviously factor in the add on costs of drinks, luggage, etc.

It's not like Delta, AA, United are any better. All US airlines are trash due to lack of competition.

Why US Airlines suck

Taken same flight and several others, all but one were less than 2 hour direct flights with only a backpack for a quick weekend trip, no issues at all.

Seriously, someone I know used Spirit to fly to Chicago and then one time to Boston. He said it really wasn't that bad.

I think because its cheaper it gets a bad rap, but they have sort of found their niche in the airline industry. They only fly to bigger cities (and I think its all direct flights, I could be wrong).

If you are just looking to get from point A to B you might as well take the cheapest flight available.

I flew Spirit twice a week for 2 years. My input:

1) buy at the counter if you can. It’s about $40 cheaper

2) always have a backup ticket on a later Southwest flight that you can cancel literally as the plane begins taking off. Just sitting on the tarmac does not ensure that flight won’t get cancelled.

3) dont be shocked by anything

4) Chicken and Beer in ATL isn’t half bad
