Houston "activists" want taqueria hero charged with murder

Several community activists gathered Sunday at the southwest Houston taqueria at which a robber was shot and killed earlier this month.
They said the shooting went "beyond self-defense" and also characterized it as "a cold-blooded execution."
While some are calling him a hero, this group wants the shooter to be criminally indicted.
"We must not allow citizens to become judge, jury and executor," the group, which consisted of Dr. Candice Matthews (Texas Coalition of Black Democrats/Rainbow/PUSH Coalition/New Black Panther Nation), Quanell X (New Black Panther Nation), family members of the deceased and other civil rights organizations, said in a statement.

Another tidbit about the robber who was killed: He robbed a convenience store and killed the owner back in 2013. The TPOS served less than half of his prison sentence and was out on bail in 2021 when he committed domestic violence that same year. He was released on bail again and he went on to commit this robbery at the taqueria.

"We must not allow citizens to protect themselves from the lawless people we want to protect by our organizational relationships."

Progressives being progressive

It becomes more apparent everyday that we can’t exist in the same country with a growing number of these idiots.

If I'm the DA, I'm not bringing charges against him. If the thief is dead...I don't care if the shooter pumps a couple of extra bullets into him. He's already dead! I would chalk it up to his adrenaline running high. I can't imagine how I would feel in that situation so...no charges.

Which just goes to prove yet again that common sense simply does not apply to liberal activists. Damn this country would be so much better off without todays progressives

How about these activist go protest whatever terrible neighborhood, family, or school led to the dude feeling like he had the right to rob people at gunpoint

Unfortunately they will probably get some kind of charge. Will it stand up in court, who knows.

I’ll be here anxiously awaiting their next press conference from the hood where they condemn the next drive-by shooter for being the “judge, jury, and executioner”. Shouldn’t take long to find one. Until then they can stfu.

The DA is the same one who let him out in 2021...what do you think the DA is going to do here?
