Soviet T-18. It was their first home produced tank.

Holy shite. I've never seen this monstrosity. One thing does stick out though.... those tracks. I've worked for Caterpillar for two decades and would recognize those tracks anywhere. Those are Caterpillar bolt on track shoes. I've never heard of the US trying to make a tank out of a Caterpillar though.

Yeah, I've still got nothing. That one looks to have different tracks though.

Now that one i know. It's a British amphibious truck they called the Terrapin. It was like their version of the DUKW.

Here is another for you:
Romanian TACAM tank destroyers. The Germans gave them some captured Soviet light tanks and the Romanians removed the turrets and mounted anti-tank guns.

I put in an application when I came off active duty a little over 20 years ago. I've been with them ever since. I work in product support. Basically when a customer has a fleet of Cat machines their local dealer and me help them use them in the most effective manner while keeping their owning and operating costs as low as possible.

You're right. It's not all about war. But nothing drives human history (or advancement) like warfare. Feel free to join in but don't use Google. The fun of the game is to try and guess things for yourself.
