Hiking at Red Bluffs (Columbia, MS.) Tomorrow (the day after rain)?

I have a friend in town who wants to hike at Red Bluffs and tomorrow (day after rain) is the only day we can make it.
Any advice on this? I’ve never been… just wondering how big the water hazards are going to be.
Thanks OT

Use one club more just to be safe.

You are going to have red clay from head to toe. Wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind trashing. It’s going to be wet, slippery mud all the way down to the river. Have fun

He gonna look like Vincent Gambini after he got his car stuck in the mud

Unless you are a gluten for punishment or cannot reschedule this trip, ever, you should seriously consider the purpose. If it’s to enjoy a fun walk in a pretty cool area you are going to be disappointed. If it’s to enjoy weathering elements, regardless of elements, then expect a lot of slipping and sliding and have an extra pair of clothes/shoes for the ride home.

Ole Yeller. Where you live? Morgantown or Foxworth? I’m from Columbia. Haven’t been to Red Bluff since the early 90’s.

Foxworth
My grandma was a Thornhill from Foxworth and my dad retired there. I think I'm related to everyone up there.

Take some good pictures of the scrapped cars littering the bottom of the canyon.

You are a big fan of punctuation yourself. It rarely fails. The person that anoints themselves spell check or grammar police on a message board almost invariably have grammatical errors in their reply.
I did spell the word wrong. Having that pointed out is obviously embarrassing. It will happen again, though, because this is an internet message board, not a comp class. I am still not going to waste time proofreading to avoid being called out, so I’ll just have to deal with some razzing.

I think they were covered up when the NW face slid off a number of years back...

Very interesting area, but it is saddening to see how much trash is in the bottom of the canyon.

Much more of a gully than a canyon.
