I'm past ready for some cool weather, but it looks like it's only going to be around for a few days and then back to what we've been having this week.

Hes right though.
Ridge over Texas and the SE has bottled up some cold over the western US (I havent broke 30 @ 12:45), but that hurricane that rolled into Mexico started the process of eroding the ridge over the SE and finally letting the colder and drier air push down.
And since solar radiation is a part of ridge building, and thats waning in intensity fast... its gonna be really hard to build a heat dome to support 90/70 again this year imho.
