That girl is probably 5'3"-5'4" and weighs close to 200 lbs. There is nothing healthy about that at all. I really want to see a breakdown of statistics regarding severe Covid symptoms as they relate to people who are overweight vs. those who are not. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that those who are considered obese were more likely to die from Covid-19 than those considered healthy by science.

I believe 78% of all hospitalizations from Covid are from individuals that are overweight

Well, if that's healthy, then I'm definitely healthy, so I'll allow it.

They really are. Unfortunately, people accept what they say.

In fairness, they’re quoting the mother. The headline doesn’t claim she’s healthy. It would be somewhat editorializing if they were to say “who appears overweight” and they included a picture for you to draw your own conclusions without having to explicitly say so.

we have a real issue with obesity in America. I was watching a vlogger in Ukraine last night and maybe 1 out of every 20-30 people on the street were over 200 lbs. maybe.

Perhaps they should not have included the quote at all...and especially highlight it right by the picture.

This may send shivers down OT parent's spines. I'm sure there are at least 1 or 2 with an obese kid. Let's point and laugh, shall we?

The parents should be arrested for child abuse. Sad... 16-years-old and weighs the same as a Volkswagen Beetle.

When 70% of the population is overweight (BMI > 25) that statistic ends up misleading, it looks like the vast majority of these “healthy” people are in the BMI 35+ mobile scooter users.

The media should know by now that covid loves fat cells no matter the age. They're idea of healthy is not the same as doctors.

Go to rural Japan and try to find a fatty.

Rarer than a car with a Newfoundland license plate in Bawcomville.
