Have you ever purchased a used car online and had it delivered to your house?

6Looking to sell my wife’s car and getting her another one. Looking at cars for sale online on cargurus, I see they all have pick up or delivery option. Anybody ever purchased a vehicle they never seen in person and had it delivered to the house?

on 9/23/23 at 10:27 am to Byrdybyrd05Tons of times. Biggest thing to ask is whether someone had smoked in it. Ask that in email so you have it in writing. If they lie you might have to enlist a lawyer but they’ll take it back.

on 9/23/23 at 10:29 am to Byrdybyrd05Yes. It's the new normal. The risk varies depending on what you're buying. It's a very easy process, especially if the seller is setting it all up. If you have to set it up yourself it can get tricky. This becomes a bigger issue if you're buying from an individual, as they'll need to be there for the car to be picked up. This also depends on the demeanor of the individual.

on 9/23/23 at 11:11 am to Byrdybyrd05my husband bought a 'classic' Triumph sight unseen that was in Florida and had it delivered to Tennessee. The delivery truck couldn't make it up the not very steep driveway in front of our house.
It's an old car, it has had lots of things go wrong with it, just like all the other cars of its age and heritage.
He's pleased with it and I guess that's really the only important part.

Yes wife bought Infiniti in Mobile. Delivered it and drive back our trade in. Easy peasy

The only ‘hiccup’ with the Escalade was that we knew as soon as we got in it that it was formerly owned by an Indian family. Our close friends called it ‘The Curry Express’

Buddy of mine has done it several times, but I just don't trust people enough! IMO, too many crooks out there for me to feel comfortable making a huge purchase!
