We put our entire lives in the hands of science every day, so yes saying "Trust The Science" like it's something we don't all do is pretty stupid.

Pretty much the most unscientific thing you can say.

This is laughably stupid. But I guess that's what we've come to expect from you. And you'll remember it was your side that started throwing around "trust the science" as some sort of intellectual superiority argument when a great many people called bullshite on a lot of the covid nonsense.

I've never said "trust the science" in my life.

Denying something simply because it's a scientific consensus or trusting science because a politician tells you to is stupid.

It's cool dude, u don't trust science. I'm glad you can spread your ignorance thanks to people that did.

Nah, I totally trust that science and it's certainly been settled.

Equally as wrong. It is still ongoing, not settled.

In 1970, when I was told that we had 20 years before the earth would end of we didn’t recycle- was the science settled?

Obviously, the earth did not end because we started recycling. And when the earth doesn't end this time in the next 8ish years, it'll be because we cut back on our cow farts.

Thats not why people deny it. People deny it because of constant terrible messaging, lies and misleading from the "scientific community."

Like they did with the Covid vaccine.

When would you propose we start using scientific data to apply it to practical uses? We are still doing research on climate change, so we should wait until we are done ( ) to start utilizing our data or should we chart a path based off what we have so far?

We are also still doing research on gravity BTW.

“Heil Hitler” has gotta be up there.

The Science is Settled is bad though

Its almost always used to describe very unsettled science.

no one is throwing that out discussing like gravity.

Lol nice strawman. It was never scientific concensus that the earth would in in 1990 if people didn't recycle.

I admit to some hyperbole but so does the left! They whine about MAN made climate change while providing zero proof of how much climate has changed because of MAN and, if it’s all man made then how much change is needed to get us to a point of survival?

It is a statement to control people in their actions. Woke Progressives uses this in the way the bible thumpers do to convince others their free will is meaningless and they must do these things or the outcome will be horrific.

Yeah, the OP phrase is bad, but "That's just whataboutism" and "Y'all are just in a bubble" could go away too.

You will get a wide range of answers to this throughout the community. I'd compare it to looking at the models of the projected path of an approaching hurricane but years out instead of days/weeks.

To me it's a problem for future people. There's nothing I can do about it either way so I don't even bother.
