ST. LOUIS -- A St. Louis couple facing felony charges for waving guns at racial injustice protesters who marched near their home allege in a lawsuit that a news photographer trespassed to capture an image of the confrontation.
Mark and Patricia McCloskey, lawyers in their 60s, filed the lawsuit Friday in St. Louis Circuit Court against United Press International photographer Bill Greenblatt and the wire service, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
At issue was a protest on June 28, when a few hundred marchers veered onto the private street near the the McCloskeys’ $1.15 million home in St. Louis’ posh Central West End area. Mark McCloskey emerged with an AR-15 rifle and his wife displayed a semiautomatic handgun.

Am I missing something? Is that not a semiautomatic handgun that she's holding?

Suing because someone took their photograph while they were outside? That's some balls. Wonder if there will be a report of the dismissal.

How many can you name that are not a semiauto or a revolver?
Its an unnecessary adjective used only to encite.

Didn't they also find out they had rendered her gun inoperable and she knew it wouldn't fire?
Then the police confiscated it and "fixed" it when they tried to charge them.
Cracks me up.

I tend to agree.
They had every right to do what they did and the press had every right to photograph it.
Not sure what they're suing about, isn't the guy an ambulance chaser? Litigation is in his blood.

Basically all handguns are semi-auto or revolver, which both operate the same in that you pull trigger once, one shot fires, and you don't have to reload each shot.
It's sensationalist writing meant to scare people that don't know shite about guns. Like calling a black deer rifle an assault weapon.

Isn't it a gated community? Looks like they're saying the photographer was on private property.

I dont know about the woman, but they will have a hell of a fricking time in court arguing the man was "waving" his AR.

Pretty sure the photographer broke into a gated community
Would you be ok with someone going into your gate & taking pictures of you?
