Nope. Grizzlies average 300+ pounds more than the tigers. Tiger isn't getting through the mass of the bear before the bear eviscerates it with its claws.

Head to head: a prime 800+lb Grizzly would destroy a 650lb Tiger.

If a 650lb male tiger caught the 800lb grizzly by surprise then perhaps the tiger.

Just depends.

Tiger wins. The rear claws are the difference maker. That and the quickness of the Tiger.

A 650lb tiger is massive, an an 800lb griz is not.

Like I said earlier, if we are going to talk on the plus sized end of the spectrum, Kodiak bears over 1400 lbs are not uncommon. 700 pound Tigers probably don't even exist in the wild but even if they do, 1000+ lb ones surely don't.

The bear weighs over twice as much.

I think Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes) could easily take Yogi Bear.

Gut feeling I would say the tiger due to speed difference. The tiger would move so much faster than the bear to start with and, while not as powerful as the bear, isn't lacking in overall power.

Bears are very fast. They can run over 35 mph. Yall just don't understand. A grizzly is a bad bad dude.

Hell the scientific name for them is something like ursus horriblius.

Of course they do - they are always strapped in the wild.

I love how no one ever says Siberian Tiger, it’s like they know it wouldn’t be a contest so they avoid the option

Best bear vs weaker tiger

See bears are better!!!

I don't think so, without an initial bull rush charge I believe a gorilla can out smart and has crazy strength and bite force

A grizzly outweighs a silverback gorilla by at least 600-700 pounds.

Just look at this pic and tell me a gorilla has a chance against a grizzly:

Tiger if it can sneak up on the bear.

If it’s a cage match, the bear.
