That’s the kind of storm that starts fires.

Those pics are amazing. We were watching it from Breckenridge this evening and it was unlike anything I’d ever seen.

For sure. Single digit humilities, and they have an extra downslope over there. I have severe doubts any of the precip was hitting the ground, at least below like 11k'. Luckily there wasn't nearly the amount of lightning you'd think.

You don't see many low precip supercells in Louisiana. So you were looking south at it in Breckenridge. I got lucky it was practically due east of me.

I love being up there in the summer and seeing storms blow up in the distance. Can also get pretty crazy, real quick, especially later summer

If you look closely at the 5th picture you can see cartman. Down at the end of the road.

My Pixel 3a.

It was really too bad I couldn't grab a better camera, but I kind of walked out on the porch and saw it bombing to the east.

The pics are great. Just was wondering if you used a cell phone. Cell phones do have amazing cameras these days.

Yeah but a better camera and trying to get farther back initially probably would have yielded a better set of pictures.

It's admittedly hard to work with the terrain around here.

Almost 20 years ago I was looking at a former refinery that was in a laydown yard in Casper, WY. When the clouds loomed over the Rockies, I had just finished and hauled butt due east at whatever speed the fastest drivers were going. Being October I did not want to get stuck in the snow.
