My son is a first responder.

A mother called for help because her son fell in the bath tub and hit his head, was not breathing, and had inhaled water.

My son and his crew revived him.

It was not a Narcan case. Most days, saving lives is administering Narcan.

Tonight was a life changing event for the mother and son. The young man was breathing on his own when transported to the hospital.

Hoping for the best for the family.

Next time he applies to medical school, leave all this BS out and just claim he’s African American, and female.

Not to be a Debbie Downer here but this really depends on how long did he stop breathing until he started breathing again. Brain damage is a terrible thing.

That and dry drowning is definitely a thing, post aspirating liquid.

Easy Dad…. HIPPA.

Lol.

Bet your son is walking around like a rooster. Good for him.

My first true “life saved “ was a precordial thump. Like a damned TV show! I think I would have tried to walk on water if it was nearby. Lol

First responders should be recognized more for what they do!

Still amazes me how calmly they react when put in what most would call very stressful situations. Can’t imagine some of the gruesome injuries those folks witness regularly and calmly respond to.

We appreciate your sons service!

Reminds me of the John Mulaney bit about the categories of people covered in the New York Post.

A "hero" is any man who does his job. You a lot of times see headlines that are like, "hero tutor teaches after school", and you're like, yeah.

I don't know anything about the people other than he was revived. Resuscitation efforts are required in absence of a DNR. They did their jobs. It may be a difficult situation now that the sun is up, thus praying for the best for the family.

Good news!

I got my CPR certification a couple of weeks ago.

I hope I don't need to use it.

Yeah, he's pretty calm and collected. Cousins are LEOs and health care pros, so some family history there.
