The company would not comment on the number or size of layoffs involved. According to sources, about 20 employees were impacted in Media Operations, On-Air Promotion, Research and Administration. The list is said to include long-term Crown Media employees who have worked more than 20 years at the company.

Nothing in your article points to being "woke" is the reason for these cuts. Traditional media is changing bigly and cutting bloat was probably needed.

What did they do? I don’t think I ever watch their channel. I do buy their greeting cards once in a while.

They only need 3 employees. One to make a copy of a previous script, one to change a few details and names, and one to answer the phones and restock the copier.

My wife watches it constantly. This last Christmas season they made a strong push to have the main characters be gay or non-white or both. The company even had a press release saying their conservative view points were changing with the times and trying to be "more inclusive"
