Great night for the telescope

The Super Pink Moon of 2021 rises tonight, but it won't look pink

Looked kinda pink to me at 2:00 am!

Video and pic through eyepiece of my telescope (which has seen better days) gives an idea of how bright it is.

I’ll try to get some pics through my scope for ya. My iPhone takes badass night pictures.

Binoculars or even a gun scope works too

Took one earlier with mine. Doesn’t do it justice.

May pull out one of my scopes and see how it looks.

It’s so damn bright I wonder if I ought to be using a solar filter!

Just used my inexpensive Nikon binoculars (~$250) and the moon is definitely as bright as I’ve seen in a long time —of course I just had cataract surgery so that helps a good bit.

I always like how you can actually see the mountain ridges along the edges. You can even make them out in your first photo. Thanks.

Great night for bass fishing.

Ever tried photographing stars with it on a clear night? I use the 10 second capture time in night mode, then edit (remove exposure, increase contrast and definition) and as you can see see this captures a lot of stars. Not bad for a mobile phone camera! I took this one a couple hours ago.

Thanks it amazes me to zoom in and see stars captured that I couldn’t even see with my own eyes due to light pollution.

Saw it earlier. Wasn’t pink but gorgeous and bright. Saw it last night at 7 pm. Pretty neat.

Goodnight internet.

I stayed up too late but it was breathtaking at it’s zenith, and surprisingly colorful. That was the best supermoon in a while.
