Eh, it’s pretty douchey to feel entitled to some sort of explanation and to get asshurt that someone has decided you’re not worth their time.

If you approach me completely unsolicited I don’t feel a need to respond in any way. If I requested your service or such, I will give you a firm yes or no quickly

Some people deserve to be ghosted. I’ve had a neighbor that I’ve tolerated for 20 years and two weeks ago I decided I’ll never talk to him again. He deserves it, that’s what he will get.

There's not enough time in the day to respond to everyone. Sometimes people just have to be ghosted. I get too many emails/calls/texts a day that I don't have time to deal with bs.

I get ghosted by clients all the time. Until they're needing their audit report. Then they suddenly find everything I need and expect me to complete it in a day. Those clients end up struggling to find accountants before long.
yep

I will say though, there is nothing worse than presenting to audit committee virtually. So many more questions get asked

So many more stupid questions get asked. It's exhausting.

ETA: I had a city councilwoman ask me what I meant by "the city's net position increased."
