You aren't RDS or Duke. There isn't a hurricane entering the gulf until they say it is.

Not an unusual place to form, off the gyre. Timing is just a little early but we've had a named storm in May the past few years. So nothing all that odd.
It won't be a hurricane. It'll be a sheared TS, heavily weighted to the east side if it forms at all. Hell, it could form in the Pacific or just stay trapped near Central America.
Not much to be concerned with right now.
