Watching a guy spend 10 minutes disinfecting the table with spray and paper towels, then watching him go grab the microwave handle that half the company uses and grabbing his breakfast sandwich is hilarious to me.

Didn't the CDC gods already come out and say all of that is basically for show? Or was it just CNN?

As it pertains to COVID

That doesn't mean that disinfecting things in general is a bad practice

Just means that covering the whole fricking world in bleach and lysol does frick all to stop COVID

Yes.

I learned just how disgusting every single surface we touch is in Micro lab in college.

We just went around swabbing random things to see what would grow.

To no surprise, the most disgusting thing was a buggy at WalMart.

It was definitely a surprise to learn that you're pretty much always covered in Staph aureus. It's just part of your biome when on your skin.

In a year and a half we've gone from constantly hearing about how important your microbiome is and some germs are good, to sterilizing everything.

There's an alarming amount of fecal matter on water jugs at golf courses.

Really there's probably an alarming amount of fecal matter on everything, I just remember reading that about the golf course jugs.

the one that bugs me the most is the people who wear latex gloves, push their cart, touch all their groceries, load them in the car, and drive home with the gloves on.

“disinfecting”

“then watching him go grab the microwave that half the company uses and grabbing his breakfast sandwich is hilarious to me.”

People don’t understand the concept of transference.

That guy is not a real germaphobe. He's just a show germaphobe. If he were real, he would have disinfected the whole damn break room.

Eh...I'm not saying go the Dwight route, but there's a reason MRSA hangs out around hospitals.

Way to be insensitive. It’s a mental illness called obsessive compulsive disorder. How about minding your own business instead.
