I drove to gray to get gas the day after Katrina. Rouses was giving away ice. I had 2 96 quart ice chests in the truck and they filled em up. Got back to nola and sold bags of ice for 5 bucks a bag.

The irony of the modern government overreach. Before I found an old fashioned can, I had a POS plastic can. I'd take the whole "pressure" mechanism off (that never worked)--and then spill shite everywhere.

Because it is probably true. This could have easily been a picture of someone from Lake Charles 8 months ago. Kind of sad seeing all the Louisiana people making fun of a gas shortage (Even if the cause is an overreaction to and overreaction). If you are traveling and can’t get gas, you’re fricked.
If this were in Louisiana, there would be a “where can I get gas” thread.

Yeah, I screwed up not getting gas earlier today.
Gonna start early in the AM trolling the 6 gas stations near me and hopefully get a tank tomorrow. The problem is a I stopped near downtown so they will get hit hard quick.
Have been looking at the thread on the Raleigh Reddit with people reporting gas here and there the problem is I can't risk driving more than a few miles on the off chance there is gas when I get there.
I remember the whole gas shortage thing in the 70s but my uncle had a HVAC contracting business and has his own 1000 gallon tank and pump, we just drove over to his shop and filled up so my parents never had issues.

We had zero problem filling up our vehicles a few hours ago but we are in SE Louisiana, I really don’t know if that matters but I didn’t see any rush on gas where we are.

I bet they didn't after buying, loading, unloading the cans, pumping, loading, and unloading all that gas. That's probably the most exercise those two fat fricks have seen since high school.

Thanks so much for mentioning this!!! I had forgotten about it. Found a gas station 5 miles from the hotel that was just updated they had gas, went and they had gas, had to wait 30 minutes to get it, cash only and max of $20 per customer but that gives me enough range to get within 25 miles of my house, will try to stop at some stations outside cities and see if I can get enough to get home without having my wife or a friend drive out to meet me.
