I really hate new gas cans.

I filled 3 50 gallon drums with gas in Houston before driving back to Nola after Katrina. I paid $3.09 a gallon.
Come to nola and find cheaper gas. I was pissed.

Regardless of the cause of the shortage (in this case Colonial Pipeline coupled with over-reactions from the people), the shortage is real. It could last 8 hours or 3 days.
If you need gas to drive to work tomorrow, the cause of the shortage is immaterial (whether you believe in it or not). The fact is that half of the gas stations here don’t have gas, and the other half have long lines to get to the pump.

I am stuck in Raleigh NC driving back to SC from DC. Have 57 miles of range left and there is no gas anywhere. Dunno how long I will be stuck here.
Need 8 gallons of gas and would pay $200 for it in a heartbeat.

good luck. Not much of anything in Charlotte as of a few hours ago. Found somewhere with gas with the gas buddy app, but lines are long. I could spare a few gallons if you make it here. I didn’t want to be an a-hole and fill up the 3 gallon lawnmower can, so you would have to figure out how to siphon the gas.
