Maybe I am bein a pussy but I think LSU has the correct intention. There is a lot more students and faculty this year who commute a pretty good distance.

Its not like some of these people work during the day

I think you hit the nail on the head, its a liability concern for LSU and other School districts.

Can't blame him, he wants as many days at home with that as possible

Funny thing is tomorrow is going to be a perfectly normal day and everyone will be sitting around like wtf

Afternoon sure, but the interstates will still be closed in the morning and LSU has a lot of trees and buildings to shade the ground. Campus is probably pretty icy still in a lot of places and you'd basically be funnelling all of traffic in on the south side by the stadium.

More headaches than it's worth when you got the days built into the schedule anyway. Though I don't see why they wouldn't just open back at noon.

I know on finals week in December LSU had a few decent car accidents from people sliding on the roads

They pushed it a bit because at the time it was finals

2nd week of school shouldn't be a major issue

Do the elementary and secondary schools ever actually make these days up?

I believe someone said it will not be required since a state of emergency was declared.
