I know some of these professors commute a pretty decent distance. they really making them drive all the way to an icy campus?

Correct. I'm involved in the transportation side. If they don't need that, students are certainly not expected.

I feel pretty safe to say BR will be shut down tomorrow essentially for all schools
Too many issues with major roads, not all of it has thawed and stuff that melted will freeze back up here in the coming hours

Due to continued hazardous road conditions, LSU will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 18. All classes and events scheduled for Thursday are cancelled or postponed. LSU essential personnel should check with their supervisors to see if they are needed on Thursday.
