The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies received additional information on May 31, 2022 regarding a domestic disturbance. That disturbance was on April 6, 2021 in the 17000 block of South Good Times Rd.
LPSO said, “With this information provided to the Sheriff, the Domestic Violence Division of the Sheriff’s office conducted further investigation. Based upon this new information and evidence, the Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant against Hayley Unbehagen for Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault & Child Endangerment.”
This is the second time Unbehagen has been arrested. She turned herself into the Livingston Parish Prison in Oct. 2021 for having missed a court appearance.

Despite unpopular beliefs, i have been displaced from my home since 4pm due to the power outage and have just recently been able to return home as it has been restored. The power lines to my home don’t get special treatment just because I’m the Mayor. Sorry to disappoint. Thankful that I have so many friends and family in town who did have power and welcomed myself and my 3yr old daughter into their homes. The love of so many is well more than the hate I receive from the few ??

Seriously, the number of elected officials needs to be reduced.
I say this about small town police departments, instead of the parishes giving these small towns their police budget, cut them out and give their budget to the Sheriffs office so they can get more resources. They can hire an extra deputy or two and since sheriffs deputies are a little bit better trained than these small town police.
They need to do the same with these small towns. A town of just over 1000 people has a mayor, aldermen. A parish councilman can be over that area without having to spend money paying a mayor, aldermen and the 2 or 3 people who work in the mayors office.
People should be more concerned with local government, who has more of an impact on their everyday life. I guarantee you they could find ways to cut cost and do things more effective if they were forced to.
