It'd be more interesting, but no less creepy, if he was getting things done that actually had functional purpose.
Like getting robot arms to lift more weight, or getting his nose chopped off to breathe better or run further (but this is not possible really yet, obviously).
But it's literally a costume. He's chopping up his body for nothing more than looks. 100% superficial. Equivalently 100% stupid.

This is disturbing. I’m thankful that I’m normal. People are so fricked up in the head. Just get me to a tailgate, give me a beer, some good music, some good lookin women and I’m all set. What makes people wants to chop up there body to look like a damn alien lol?
