I backed into a light pole like that in HS at about aged 15 going like 30 mph in reverse.
I was in an 81 GMC Sierra with a steel rear bumper though. I just found another one at a junkyard for $50 and didn't do that again.

I saw that same movie in High School, except it was my buddy with a 396 small block Chevy and a 1980's vintage pickup. He relocated the rear end housing about 6 inches over to the left...

This happened to a couple of my friends in high school in a grocery store parking lot. They ended up crashing into the windshield and stumbling into the grocery store all bloody and collapsing on the floor. One guy still has a gnarly gash on his forehead from it and is totally embarrassed by how it happened.
