I think they removed the heart and then decapitated the victim.

We won. Get over it. The South lost, and we're told to let it go. But when it comes to Indians losing, suddenly they want to disregard that mantra. US government overreached its mandate on both accounts.

You woke up thinking about this shite? That’s a very random thought early on a Tuesday morning.

You should read Empire of the Summer Moon. The Comanches literally made sport of torturing Apache , Kiawa, Sioux, Cheyenne and other plains tribes. Their female tribe members equally participated in the torture. They enslaved young women and children as well.

One of the most absurd leftists tropes is the history of the Indians. They’re portrayed in a completely fantasized manner as people who were wise, peaceful, and one with nature until the evil White Europeans came and stole their land. This Disney Revision of history is false.

The truth of the matter is the tribes of North and South America were a collection of mostly Stone Age Hunter/gather tribes who routinely waged wars of conquest, genocide, slavery, torture, and human sacrifice. Just as the White Europeans broke treaties, so did the Indians. No one’s hand were clean on either side.

There is a whole section of society that think native tribes in the western hemisphere were these peaceful garden of Eden dwellers.

And then Europeans showed up.

In truth, these tribes were no different than the tribes of the rest of the world.

Archeology kills all modern narratives as most of the "native" tribes we can identify came from Africa or Asia or northern Europe by boat or land bridge and when they arrived in these areas killed and conquered the people who were here before them.

When they complain about stolen land all the time I just wonder why they don’t take it back?

They have had all this time.

I added that statement after my initial one to clarify.

It would be like saying those that feel that the US dropping nukes on Japan was wrong are wrong because the Chinese did something bad to it's citizens 300 years before.

The argument is dumb.

The American Indians practiced slavery, child rape, human sacrifice, torture, and every horrible thing you can think of.

They were every bit the savages they have been described as (until recently by leftist liberal white-hating historians).

I’m not condoning any of the evils perpetrated by the European colonials in the Americas, but the idea of the ‘noble Savage’ must die.

Carlin did a piece on this in one of his podcasts where he described the Europeans coming to America to a pride of lions that had been hardened and battle tested on the Serengeti finding a mountain pass that opened up to an entire continent of labs, sheep, and the equivalent of a dog that had never truly been challenged.

Can you recall which one?

And at that time Spaniards were burning people at the stake for heresy. Nobody has clean hands.

Baw, you realize during this same time period Europeans were burning their own women and children at the stake?

No ancient culture on earth had any moral superiority over the other.
