For those of y’all who thought Covid was going away after the election....

Billions have been spent in developing vaccines. Do you really think they are not going to “persuade” you to not get one? There is way too much profit to be made on the delivery of said product. Want to get on a plane? Attend a sporting event? Have employment?

The next move is: "Even though you've had the vaccine you still need to mask up and social distance"
See guise, even though there is a vaccine it's only 80 percent effective so we still need to lockdown.

Holy shite you are stupid
How do you function on a daily basis?

Given the many lingering symptoms people have after infection (fatigue, brain fog, loss of taste, loss of smell, shortness of breath, cardiac issue, etc.) as well as the low but significant risk of serious acute illness, I'll consider the vaccine after review of the data.

I really and honestly don’t care what your political views are or who you voted for. But please tell me why on earth would one logically and rationally believe that this was going to just go away after the election regardless of who won.
Serious question. Why would anyone think this regardless of what your political beliefs are?

Well technically it has gone away. The news has not mentioned it in 4 days

“Gone away” is probably a poor choice of words.
It’s political value is now diminished, which will lead to it being less stressed, less talked about, less restricted, etc.

I think it's mostly that people don't think it's a serious illness in the first place. They don't think it's going to literally "go away". They think it's an invented problem, and that the media will start focusing on case numbers instead of death numbers and other such things.
But they're wrong. It is a serious illness, and while I don't believe in lockdowns and top-down forceful policies I think people should do their best within reason to stave off infection (socially distance and, if you can't, wear a mask).

The overreaction is what most thought would go after the election but that depended on which side won.
Well the overeacting side won so it will get worse

With a Biden(socialist/communist) president...yeah could see this becoming "mandatory"

And what if millions choose not get the vaccine? Is the Kamala Harris government going to herd us up a gunpoint to get vaccinated?
