re: Food Trucks are overrated garbage
I don’t understand the concept. Without the overhead of rent, utilities, property taxes, etc. you would think that the food would be cheaper. It’s not. It’s not cheaper, its not better and you have to deal with the weather. Imma pass.

Economies of scale factor in.

There isn't anything special going on in your typical restaurant kitchen that can't be replicated on a smaller scale inside a food truck. We aren't talking fine dining.

shite...imagine thinking the kitchen at your local restaurant is cleaner than a food truck

If it has cantaloupe drink, you know it’s legit.

Dude you missed out on the 80's roach coaches. You had (2) menu options:

- The shitz menu
- The constipation menu

I remember I was bar hopping in Austin and got some chicken tenders and fries from some food truck at a bar. They put some dumb sweet cinnamon/paprika dry rub seasoning on it and it was 15 bucks. They can go to hell lol.

Now a little smoked paprika or Chipotle would have been fine imo if you asked for it

I am amazed at the living some of those guys make. One of my old teammates has a crab truck and I swear the guy never works. He's a great god fearing guy so it's nice to see.

Those places have shitty restaurant food so I guess it makes sense.

Eating at food trucks is like playing Russian roulette with 5 loaded chambers in a 6 shooter. I gotta be Lucky Dog I don’t give a frick hungry and drunk.

I’m batting about .350 on Bourbon.

Many take too long to get the food out. I don't mind waiting in a restaurant, or at a place like a brewery where I can sit and sip a beer while waiting, but screw standing in a shade-free parking lot for 10 minutes waiting on tacos.

If I see a bunch of folks hanging around waiting for food, I move on. The concepts and execution need to fine tuned for fast production.

I got a few Mexican trucks I frequent but they are cheap. I avoid the hipster ones.

Find a large construction site around 11:30 and get a meal from the ladies selling out of the trunk of their cars. Just do it!
