re: Food Trucks are overrated garbage
I like em. Not all but most. I do agree they were a lot better when they were cheap.

I’m with you 100%. I never got the “cuisine” part of food trucks when 90% it’s a carnival food stall on wheels. Sometimes people want to love something so much that they are willing to be blind to all evidence of the issues before them.

Maybe you should not go to redneck food trucks if this is what you think.

We're getting a "food truck court" at our new office complex. I'm skeptical.

The ones that are great are still priced like food trucks. The ones that are priced like a table service restaurant can lick my chode.

I’ve had good ones and bad ones and one that stole my debit card info

So unless it’s a cuisine I really want to try and go get some cash, I’ll pass on them

Food truck patrons have been manipulated by the "lifestyle" shows into following the other lemmings. But, but, but Tyler Lawrence looks so cool in his leather jacket and Ray-Ban sunglasses I want to be just like him! Come on Karen, let's go to the food truck festival and invite the neighbors to eat in our room of ship lap walls and we can pretend to do dishes in our farmhouse sink after while stuffing magnolia buds in each other's anii.

Food Trucks serve a purpose, but most suck. They’re not faster or more convenient than brick and mortar restaurants outside of a few rare contexts. The main niche they serve is as an affordable entry point for an entrepreneur to start a business, grow a following, and save up to afford a brick and mortar location.

There are some good trucks, but most are just meh, and really are only helpful when they’re showing up at an event, showing up walking distance from work, or are hanging out in the parking lot of a bar that doesn’t serve food.

I will say, that Wagyulicious truck is expensive and slow, but the food is worth it. Those burgers absolutely slap. Not quite as good as curbside was back in the day, but still very good.

Some food lends itself to a truck model. Tacos. Some bbq. Ice cream. Problem is, most of them are some weird arse fusion that no one ever asked for. I’ll pass on the tater tot sushi, thank you.

Roti Rolls in Charleston

I’ve tried the Roti Rolls truck twice, wasn’t impressed. Apparently they used to be better, people I know who used to rave about it are now disappointed.

There are a few food trucks that put out good food at decent prices. Too many of them charge like they’re in a B&M establishment, but the food doesn’t measure up.
