Flying out of BR, there's one person working the Delta counter

In what is a continued, stunning course of events...this shithole town has one single employee working the Delta counter. The line is almost out the door. Biggest travel day of the year and I guess they figured Linda could handle it all.

I thought I saw somewhere, they were offered 14% raises for 3 yrs and told the mediator to kick rocks because it wasn't enough. Must be terrible situation

The DL agents at BTR were surprisingly pleasant and good compared to other airports when I lived there. Why do you need the counter? Are you checking a bag? You can generally use the app for most things besides the bag.
ETA: If the line is that bad for checking bags, make your way to one of the computers and check in before the cutoff times. That way you're officially checked in and won't be offloaded due to checking in late

I’ve flown out of BTR hundreds of times and have never had an issue.
Can show up ten minutes before boarding and still make my flight.
Been to the new MSY and it’s definitely a way bigger headache

I love that we have this thread within a week or so of the last thread filled with people saying that they never have to deal with lines when checking bags or retrieving checked bags

This is why you get there way ahead of time, just deal with that line and then go enjoy some adult beverages

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a line at BTR with more than 4-5 people. Then again I don’t travel on the day after Thanksgiving. Generally getting in and out of BTR is one of the easiest airport experiences you can ask for.

Oh I absolutely agree. I love BTR, though I obviously wish it had direct flights to more cities. I just find the timing amusing

Agree with everybody's experience with the BTR airport, am usually parked and at the gate within 10-15 minutes.

Odds are much greater that an employee did not show up.
Our small town Family Dollar can't open this a.m. because they can't open without two employees. Only one employee showed up.
