What brand would y'all reccomend for finger nail clippers.

Every pair I've used wants to twist when tyring to clip.

My nails are thick.

not sure of the brand, but spend extra on the precision one with sharpened cutting surface. The cheap ones will twist and crush rather than cut.

Cut your finger and toenails when you get out of the shower.

Use the big toe nail clippers for your fingers, not the tiny ones that are finger nail clippers.

I have to use toenail clippers then clean them up with a shop file.
I use side cutters on my toenails.

Originally, I bought these for my toenails at Walgreens but they don't play around and are great for fingernails too. I've resisted the urge to use them as wire cutters.

Weird thread, but I have the answer. I was christmas shopping at a knife shop on Oak St in New Orleans, Coutelier NOLA, and I found Japanese finger nail clippers. I'll never use anything else again.

I keep those in my guitar cases for clipping strings.

I have those for toenails.
Look like Klein cross cuts.

A wider surface for grip would be nice.
