ABBA released their only US #1 song "Dancing Queen" in August of 1976, 45 years ago.
The 'dancing queen' in the song is young and sweet and only 17.
At 62 years old in 2021, that makes her a probable grandmother, and is now eligible for early SSI retirement benefits at 62 years old in 2021.
Feel old now??
Dancing Queen
Ooh
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music
Everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another
Anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive

The chick who sang “Hey, Mickey” is about to turn 78.

I would guess that Lola is about 85 right now. She was a showgirl at the Copacabana.

If you want to see White women between the ages of 40 & 70 go completely nuts, play this song.

Ringo (Starr, not Johnny), released ‘You’re 16’ in 1973. She’ll be 64 in December.

The Winner Takes it all
Legit song.
And the messed up thing is it was written by one of the singers husbands about their breakup. And then because it was a hit she had to sing it all the time.
